Welcome to our blog!

We are new at this, but hope that you will find the stories, information and photos that we share here as fascinating as we do! As our name suggests, we love to be “out and about”, so our posts will be quite varied. Some will tell you about the Cape Winelands specifically; others will give information and anecdotes on our travels throughout various parts of South Africa, including the renowned Kruger National Park; yet others will give you insight into travelling in countries such as Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Botswana. Whatever the topic, we welcome comments, questions and anything you might want to share with us as we go, and we hope that this will be informative and a lot of fun!

These days, there are literally hundreds of boutique wine estates dotted around the Western and Eastern Cape. Our favourite pastime is to head out over the weekend and stop wherever the mood takes us.

We enjoy good food, good value and good variety. Join us as we test and review various restaurants and eateries around Southern Africa. They must offer value for money, great service, have a lovely ambience and be of high quality to feature with us!

Our passions are wildlife and travel, and where we can combine the two is where we are happiest. We'll feature luxury game lodges, hotels and guesthouses in South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana, Victoria Falls -with a strong focus on wildlife.
